I'm Monica and I'm the founder, creative director, and all things-er for Nous Sommes Creative. Nous Sommes is French for "we are", and when I was naming my business I thought it was a perfect representation of what I wanted my design studio to stand for.

My Style

I design brands businesses can live and grow in, which means they are flexible, adaptive, and anything but cookie-cutter. I want you to feel at home in your brand and have it be a space where your clients want to stay for a while.

My Story

In 2023 I felt burnt out, unappreciated, uninspired, and miserable at my agency job. One morning after my boss made me cry for what wasn't the first, and definitely not the last time, I had this realization that "F*ck it, I'm the next best thing." And I started building Nous Sommes.

My Method

I strive to find the creative harmony of your brand. I tell you to pay attention to designs the hit you in the gut, warm your heart, and just make sense to your brain. Oftentimes we try to overcomplicate what it good. And I'm here to help the creative decision making for feel natural and easy. Stop overthinking.

i'M MONICA – MY FRIENDS CALL ME MON, AND YOU'RE MORE THAN WELCOME TO AS WELL. I'M A BRAND AND WEBSITE DESIGNER Living and working in minnesota and i'm here to design your dream brand.

I'm originally from Michigan and grew up with too much creative energy and an independent spirit, so it was destined for me to become a freelance designer. I currently live in Minneapolis with my husband and on the weekend I'm exploring new restaurants or cheering on the Detroit Lions. Besides brand or web design, I love to yap about what's in my Nuuly order, what I'm currently reading, or my thoughts on the hottest reality TV show. My friends would say I'm empathetic, witty as f*ck, and can write a birthday card that can move you to tears.
